A car accident Friday night took the lives of two Lenoir City teenagers.

When 18-year-old Zachary Robinson merged on to Pellissippi Parkway from Lovell Road his Honda Prelude slid under a semi-truck. Lynsey Ford, who was 16-years-old, was a passenger in Robinson's car.

Knox County Sheriff's deputies say Robinson was speeding and alcohol was in the vehicle, but none of the containers were open.

Friends and family who knew them best say Zach and Lynsey were special people.

A friend of the two, Wende Moore, says, "They were dating, but I mean they were best friends. They just loved each other's company and just to hang out and have fun together."

Zach's sister, Caroline Robinson, says, "Zach came up to me and he's like your friend Lynsey, she's pretty hot. I like her. I want to hang out with her. The next weekend they were a thing."

Zach and Lynsey were two people who cared a lot for each other and their tight-knit group of friends, but one thing set Lynsey apart.

"Lynsey was a great person," says her friend Lee Romano. "She was always smiling." "Her smile for sure," says her friend Lones Green. "That's the first, number one thing. She was always smiling."

Moore says, "We danced all the time just because she loved it."

Green says, "We went to see a band and I met up with her after it was over and she said I don't have any shoes. She lost her shoes."

Zach was quite a character himself

Friend Deann Hatfield says, "I'll definitely miss seeing his big hair."

Another friend of the victim, Matt Dirsa, says, "He would do anything for anybody. You wouldn't even have to ask him. He'd volunteer."

Zach's ex-girlfriend, Rachel Acuff says, "He could just make anybody laugh, so sweet and so compassionate and he should be remembered like that."

Memories of Zach and Lynsey, a couple that laughed a lot and loved life.

Lynsey's graveside service starts at 10:45 in the morning on Wednesday at the main entrance to the Highland Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from six to nine Tuesday evening at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

Zach's visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Monday at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Lenoir City. The funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. Zach's graveside service starts Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery.
