Tennessee prison officials are banning peanut butter because they say inmates are hiding drugs, cell phones and even guns in the 18-ounce jars.

The ban comes as a result of an inmate escape last August when George Hyatte and his wife ambushed two prison guards and escaped from a court hearing at the Roane County courthouse.

An investigation revealed Hyatte smuggled a cell phone into prison and used it to coordinate the breakout.
