The investigation continues into a beating at an East Tennessee juvenile detention center that sent a corrections officer to the emergency room.

The incident happened Saturday night at Mountain View Youth Development Center in Dandridge. Mountain View houses male teenagers accused of crimes that include sex offenses and murder.

Officials say a group of five juvenile inmates threw a sheet over a corrections officer and beat him.

The officer was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital, where he received stitches before being released.

The boys who attacked him have been moved to another area of the facility while the investigation takes place. It's unclear whether any of the boys tried to escape.
