Former West High School student-teacher Erin McLean was rushed to a Nashville hospital after a possible overdose.
Erin McLean is the wife of Eric McLean, the man accused of murdering 18-year-old Sean Powell, a former student at West High School. Eric McLean's family members allege that Erin McLean was having a romantic relationship with her former student.
Nashville Metro Police say the 911 Call Center there took a call last Thursday from a Knoxville police officer who said Erin McLean's family was worried she had overdosed on medication.
A Nashville officer went to a home where McLean is believed to have been staying. She was then taken to the hospital. A spokesperson says Erin and Eric McLean's two boys and the children's maternal grandmother were at the home.
Officials say the case is classified as a suicide attempt.
Erin McLean is now out of the hospital.
