Sanitation worker badly injured

A sanitation worker was seriously injured in an accident on Ridgeview Drive in South Clinton Friday morning.

Investigators say the temporary worker jumped off the back of a truck while it was in reverse. The truck backed over the man.

He was working for Waste Connections of Oak Ridge. His name has not been released.

He was taken by Lifestar to UT Medical Center, where his condition is unknown.
