The brother of a Knox County School Board member is back on the job after being arrested for drunk driving in a county vehicle.
Fifty-five year old Wiliam Anderson, III, who oversees school construction, was charged with DUI two months ago. He is the brother of School Board member Sam Anderson.
Police said he was swerving all over the road in his school-issued vehicle when they pulled him over. They also said Anderson had slurred speech, smelled of alcohol and failed a sobriety test.
His case is pending. A schools spokesperson says Anderson no longer has a county car. Instead, he drives his own car and is reimbursed the standard daily rate of $5.
