A preacher's wife was sentenced to three years in prison for voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of her husband, but will only spend 210 days in prison. She will serve the rest of her sentence on probation.

Matthew Winkler was shot to death in March 2006 in the home the couple shared with their three daughters.

In April, Mary Winkler was tried for first-degree murder. The jury found her guilty of the lesser crime of voluntary manslaughter. During the trial, Winkler testified about mental and physical abuse she received at the hands of her husband.

She told investigators she accidentally shot her husband after a night of arguing over money and other family matters.
