Olson is now charged with seven counts in the death of Johnia Berry. Olson was indicted by the grand jury Monday morning.
"This is a good day," Joan Berry said, fighting tears. "I really don't know what to say except how thankful to God I am.
"Please remember us in your prayers."
Sheriff J.J. Jones credited cooperation between the sheriff's office, federal authorities, and the TBI with the arrest and indictments.
Jones particularly emphasized the role of DNA evidence and the TBI's help in analyzing some 400 samples sent to the bureau.
"Never have they ever bobbled," Jones said. "I've called Mark Gwyn on several occasions, and he's always been right there to help us."
"Law enforcement is a team effort," Jones said. "It's like a sport, like anything else, you have to have a team to get the job done. I say to the people of Knox County, if someone comes in our county and hurts our citizens, these are the people who will hunt you down and prosecute you for as long as it takes."
Olson's seven count indictment charges him with murder in the commission of a burglary, murder in the commission of a theft, murder in the commission of a robbery, first-degree murder, attempted murder, and two counts of aggravated burglary.
