The man accused of murdering his wife's teenage lover was arraigned in Knoxville Friday morning.
Eric McLean entered a plea of not guilty on charges of first degree murder in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Sean Powell.
At the time of the shooting, Powell was having a relationship with McLean's wife, Erin McLean. She was a student-teacher at West High School, where Powell had been a student before dropping out.
McLean allegedly shot Powell to death as Powell sat in his car outside the McLean family home on Coker Street in North Knoxville.
