A woman and child were killed in a Thursday wreck in Cambell County in which a car pulled into the path of an oncoming gas truck.
State troopers say 41-year-old Tammy Underwood of Campbell County was stopped at a stop sign on Old HWY 63, attempting to turn left onto the Highway.
Underwood pulled into the path of a semi-truck driven by 25-year-old Burton Lefevers of Middlesboro, Kentucky.
The two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of traffic, coming to rest in the westbound lane.
Tammy Underwood was killed in the accident, while Lefevers was injured. 12-year-old Courtney Underwood was also killed in the wreck. Courtney was a passenger in Tammy Underwood's car.
