The Knox County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Halls teacher on claims he sexually assaulted a student.
Corey Dehart was arrested Wednesday. A female student claimed the 43-year-old Halls High School teacher sexually assaulted her in 2007.
Tuesday, a grand jury indicted Dehart on the charges of sexual battery by an authority figure and statutory rape by an authority figure.
He was released from the Knox County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
