
Nine Tennesseans have been sickened by salmonella in a nationwide outbreak in which authorities suspect peanut butter is a source of contamination.
Tennessee Department of Health officials said 9 Tennesseans were sickened, some to the point of being hospitalized, by the salmonella linked to the outbreak.
All of those cases have been linked to the peanut butter recall at this point.
Some of the people were hospitalized, but all have fully recovered.
There were two cases in Hamilton County and one case each in Sumner, Roane, Greene, Bedford, Washington, McMinn, and Claiborne counties.
