A man once accused of trying to kidnap a Sevier County child in broad daylight won't face any charges.

A grandmother, Regina Parslow, accused Gustavo Reyes of trying to grab her 3-year-old granddaughter at the Great Smokies Flea Market last month, but officers can't find a single witness who said they actually saw Reyes grab the child.

The grand jury did not find probable cause, and all charges against Reyes have been dropped.

A spokesman for Sevierville said when police arrived, a group of bystanders at the craft fair had surrounded Reyes and wouldn't let him leave.
