A car crash in Kingston has claimed the life of 18-year-old James Sams III.
A report filed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that Sams had crossed over the center line on Highway 70 and was hit by a Ford F-350 dump truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the truck, Brian Leach, was injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Sams was a senior at Roane County High School in Kingston.
A passenger in Sams car, 19 year old Nicholas Debord, was not injured in the accident.
