A Morristown man was arrested Saturday morning after trying to rob a local pharmacy, according to Morristown City Police.
Police responded to an armed robbery at Rite Aid Pharmacy at 922 S. Cumberland St. around 9:43 a.m.
According to authorities, Richard Branden Gulley, 25, entered the pharmacy and showed a threatening note demanding drugs. He jumped over the counter and tried to force open a locked cabinet. Gulley couldn't get any narcotics.
When officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene in an older model gold Honda or Acura.
Officers began searching the area and located the vehicle just moments later at a home near Crescent Street and Pauline Avenue. Gulley was found at the residence with evidence police believe connect him to the crime.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Morristown Police Department.
No one was harmed, and at this time, police don't believe Gulley had a weapon.
