Police say a man handed the teller a note demanding cash around 11:20 a.m. and threatening that he had hand grenades. The teller complied by giving him cash, and the man left on foot.

The robber is described as a white male standing 5'8" and weighing 120 to 150 pounds, with a pale complexion. He was seen wearing a faded red checkered shirt with a gray shirt underneath and tan shorts. He was also wearing a dirty white or tan colored baseball cap.

The FBI asks anyone with information to contact them at 865-544-0751 or Knoxville Police at 865-215-7212.
