An Alcoa man was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the Blount County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities with the HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit/ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) have been conducting an undercover investigation on Thomas Edwin Rasar, 62, of Parkview Place. They searched his house and seized his computer on Thursday.

Investigators found several images and videos of child pornography on the hard drive. Some of the children were as young as three years old.

Rasar was arrested at his home and is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Blount County Detention Facility. A hearing in Blount County General Session Court is scheduled for July 17 at 9 a.m.
