
Some of the world's best athletes will be visiting Knoxville in May, 2010.
The Revolution 3 Triathlon race series is expected to announce Friday a planned Olympic Triathlon in Knoxville next year that will consist of a .9 mile swim, a 24.8 mile bike and a 6.2 mile run. The event is expected to start at Volunteer Landing and conclude at World's Fair Park.
The Revolution 3 Triathlon race series was begun this year as a rival to the Ironman series. Two other races of varying lengths are also set for 2010 in Connecticut and Ohio.
