A LaFollette man is in custody, just six hours after he was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted list.
David Wayne O'Dell, 31, was arrested by LaFollette Police at 751B Old Middlesboro Highway Monday afternoon after a tip came in that led authorities to him.
O'Dell was wanted on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, reckless endangerment, and multiple counts of aggravated domestic assault.
Police say O'Dell went to an apartment on West Walden Street on July 19 and began banging on doors and windows, threatening to kill everyone inside if a woman in the apartment didn't come out.
When the woman tried to call police, she found the phone lines had been cut. Police say when she opened the door, O'Dell pointed a gun at her and demanded that she leave with him.
Police say O'Dell had assaulted the victim earlier that day in Caryville.
Officers found O'Dell and the victim in a hospital parking lot, but O'Dell fled the scene.
O'Dell's criminal history starts in 1997 and includes 13 felony convictions.
In all, he's charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, three counts of aggravated domestic assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless endangerment, and vandalism over $500.
