A Maryville man who had issues with the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church chose a memorial on the anniversary of a deadly shooting there to voice them.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said Daniel Robinson, 33, caused a disturbance at the memorial Monday night. After several verbal warnings from a deputy to leave, the sheriff's office said Robinson continued to yell about the issues he had with the church and refused to leave.

The deputy noted in the incident report that Robinson was causing a public annoyance and concern for safety. He was arrested at 7:41 -- which would have put his protest squarely amid the memorial service and before the ice cream social -- on disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing charges.

Each charge carried a $2,500 bond. Robinson was released from the Knox County jail Tuesday morning around 8 a.m., after making bond.

Two people were killed and several more wounded when a gunman walked into a children's performance during Sunday services and opened fire on July 27, 2008. Greg McKendry and Linda Kraeger lost their lives.

Church members tackled the gunman and called 911. Jim Adkisson was arrested and charged two two counts of murder and several other charges.

Adkisson pled guilty and was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.

The sheriff's office reports Robinson is unemployed. Among the motives investigators cited in Adkisson's rampage was bitterness over his inability to find a job, a plight for which he blamed liberals in general.
