More East Tennessee schools are closing because of high absentee rates due to illness.

In Loudon County, school officials said North Middle School and Greenback School would be closed Wednesday through Friday, with classes resuming on Monday.

North Middle School had a 21 percent absentee rate on Monday and Greenback School had a 16 percent absentee rate.

No other Loudon County schools are affected by the closure.
