Tennessee fans confident heading into matchup with Alabama

Oct. 10, 2016: Thrilling comebacks and nail-biting finishes have many Tennessee fans confident as the Vols are set to face off against the No. 1 ranked team in the country - the Alabama Crimson Tide.

At Turkey Creek's Alumni Hall there's plenty of reason for Tennessee fans to stop by and stock up.

No matter how old they are, fans know its Beat 'Bama Week.

“Oh he knows what the third Saturday in October is definitely,” said Amy Heinrich while holding her 4-month-old son Carter.

Even Carter understands the ups and downs Team 120 has been through.

“He jumps a lot because we scream a lot so he gets a little nervous,” Heinrich said.

Fans have high expectations for this team, some even comparing Team 120 to the 1998 national championship team.

“I don't remember, even the national championship season, a season quite like this one,” said UT alum Tom Harrison.

The ability to fight back after big deficits week after week is why these fans believe the Vols will take down the No. 1 ranked Crimson Tide.

"There’s a grittiness to it, a no quit attitude. People are starting to believe that a team that can fall behind and fall behind by a significant margin like Tennessee has can really come back,” Harrison said.
