(WBIR) Going on a long road trip can be exhausting. Now, imagine that road trip lasts more than a week and you don't actually get to go anywhere.
That's been the reality over the past 7 days for contestants of WIVK's Survive It To Drive It giveaway.
Last Saturday at 4 p.m., 12 competitors took their seats in several trucks at Ray Varner's Ford in Clinton. The game is simple, whoever lasts the longest, wins a 2014 Ford F-150 truck valued at $32,250.
Flash forward one week, and two contestants remain.
Jessica Moylan, from New Market, and Harmon Barton, from Cleveland appear to be in it for the long haul. Every three hours they get a 15 minute break. But inside the truck, they can't touch the buttons, can't adjust the seats, can't move seats, etc.
The contestants are provided meals and snacks during their breaks, but they told 10News the boredom still lingers on.
If a winner hasn't been declared by July 19, then a drawing will determine who takes home the grand prize truck. Meanwhile, the runner-up will get prizes valued at $1,500.
So, as the wait continues you can even watch the live webcam to keep an eye on the competition.
