Update: A Crossville man is accused of robbing a Knox County bank.
20-year-old Daniel Kerley is charged with robbing the B-B and T Bank on Parkside Drive in the Turkey Creek shopping center last Monday.
Authorities arrested him without incident on Highway 27 in Crossville late last week.
He is behind bars in the Blount County jail tonight.
(WBIR) Knoxville police and the FBI are investigating a Monday morning bank robbery in west Knoxville.
Knox County dispatchers confirmed that the robbery occurred at the BB&T in Turkey Creek on Parkside Drive minutes before 11 a.m.
No was hurt in the incident. Officers said the suspect, who was armed with a silver handgun, demanded money from bank employees, then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Officials are searching for a 25-30 year-old man with brown hair, a brown goatee and wire rim glasses. The suspect is about 6'1" - 6'2" tall. He was wearing an old brown Carhartt hat, blue windbreaker and jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KPD at 865-215-7212. A reward is being offered for information that leads to his arrest.
