When preparing to put down salt, there are three key locations that you'll want to include:

·         Salt the steps or stairs that lead to and from your front door. This is one of the most frequently used pathways and also one of the most dangerous if covered in ice.

·         Salt the sidewalk that leads to your driveway or garage. You'll want to be able to access your vehicle safely

·         Salt the pathway up to the driver's side of your vehicle. This will allow you to leave your home and reach your vehicle as safely as possible.

Always remember to treat sidewalks/steps ahead of the wintry weather to allow the salt to activate before the ice begins to form.
