(WBIR) An East Tennessee man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to trying to solicit a minor.
The Knoxville Police Department ICAC unit and the FBI found Lucas Jordan Conerly, 31, of Blountville, had been trying to entice a 13-year-old boy over the internet. According to the police report, he and the victim had been in touch for nearly four months.
They said that Conerly arranged a place to meet the boy in Johnson City, and arrested him when he showed up to meet the boy.
He pleaded guilty in December 2013, and admitted to choosing the victim based on a social media photograph.
When his sentence ends, Conerly will be subject to a life term of supervised release.
