NASHVILLE - A kitchen fire led to the evacuation of part of vast Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.
The fire was reported just after noon at the Old Hickory Steakhouse restaurant in the Delta Atrium.
A spokesperson told the Tennessean that the fire, which occurred as a chef was cooking, was contained and there are no reported injuries although the smoke caused some issues.
Some upper levels near the restaurant were evacuated because of the smoke. Hotel guests could be seen in the parking lot, holding their luggage. They said the fire alarms went off and they were told to leave the building.
Fire officials said the fire had been extinguished. No one was hurt.
