The Senate has approved a bill that would let grocery stores sell high-gravity craft beer.
The state's Craft Brewers Guild has been trying to pass the bill since wine in grocery stores passed.
The bill would expand the beer selection grocery stores could sell. Right now, they can only sell beer with an alcohol content of 5 percent by weight. This bill would raise that to 8 percent, which is still lower than most wines.
The bill is on the House calendar for next week.
