Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is expected to appear in downtown Nashville Wednesday at an invitation-only discussion on the economy and education.
The brother of former President George W. Bush and son of former President George H.W. Bush, seen as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2016, is scheduled to speak along with Gov. Bill Haslam and U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander. The event is organized by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Tennessee Business Roundtable and the Tennessee Business Partnership.
The discussion is titled "Tennessee's Jobs Plan: Education, Graduation, Career Readiness" and will be held in the Hermitage Hotel.
The event is closed to the general public.
