
A Greene County man has reportedly died after being struck by a car Friday night.
Greeneville officers say 51-year-old Somphou Phommachanh was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes East Andrew Johnson Highway around 8:20 p.m. Friday when he was struck.
The driver 72-year-old Billy Daniel Miller was not injured.
Phommachanh was taken to Johnson City Medical Center where he later died.
Police believe Phommachanh was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
