A Knoxville landmark undergoing a facelift is getting new name.

Workers are renovating the old Kingston Apartments on Kingston Pike near Alcoa Highway. They'll become new off-campus student apartments.

The developers created a contest to name the building. A local history buff, James Banks, had the winning entry and won the $1,000 prize.

The property will be called "The Tower at Morgan Hill". The name comes from the University of Tennessee's 13th president Harcourt A. Morgan, who once owner the property.

The building sits near the newly discovered Civil War Confederate trenches across Kingston Pike. That spot is known to many as "Morgan Hill".
