A Sevier County man will spend four decades behind bars for raping a child.
Ivor Parsons pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated rape of a child.
Parsons was arrested back in September 2010, after officers received a tip which led to an investigation.
A judge sentenced parsons to 40 years in jail.

(Sept. 24, 2010) Officers charged a Kodak man with aggravated rape of a child under three years old after arresting him Thursday afternoon.
According to Sevierville Police Department, officers arrested 21-year-old Ivor Parsons after receiving a tip which led to an investigation.
Parsons was taken to the Sevier County jail with a $250,000 bond.
