Officers block traffic on Kingston Pike near wreck
No charges will be filed against a teen driver who hit and killed a man in a wheelchair.
The accident happened in September 2011.
Investigators said the driver, Chandler Huneycutt, 18, was attempting to pull from Forest Glen Drive onto Kingston Pike when he struck Larry Masterson, 68, who was in a motorized wheelchair.
John Gill with the Knox County District Attorney General's Office said toxicology results showed that Huneycutt was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Even before those results were back, Gill said it was unlikely charges would be filed in this case based on the circumstances of the accident.
