Tornado survivors seeking financial help can now visit a Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Recovery Center.  Two sites are now open in the 10News viewing area.

FEMA is setup inside the Tellico Plains Community Center in Monroe County.  Plus, Etowah Rural Fire and Rescue in McMinn County is hosting the agency.

Center hours are from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.  The centers will remain open until further notice.

The four counties in our viewing area approved for federal financial aid are Claiborne, Cumberland, Monroe and McMinn.

Two types of assistance are available for homeowners, renters and business owners who were impacted by the recent tornadoes.

"You can receive a grant from FEMA or you can receive a small interest loan from the United States Small Business Administration," said FEMA spokesperson Glenn Allen.

The addresses for the recovery centers are listed below.

Monroe County-

Tellico Plains Community Center
132 Bank St.
Tellico Plains, TN 37385

McMinn County-

Etowah Rural Fire and Rescue
1018 Tennessee Ave.
Etowah, TN 37331

If possible, before visiting a disaster recovery center, people with storm losses should register with FEMA by calling 800-621-FEMA.

Applicants should take their social security card and insurance documentation with them to the recovery centers.
