After a loss Monday night to the Baylor Bears in the NCAA tournament, Lady Vol fans are hoping to see Coach Pat Summitt return next season.

"Pat has to go out a winner. She's a winner regardless, said fan Melissa Hill. "But one more championship... one more."

A long-time Vol fan, Hill watched the game at the Bearden Hill Fieldhouse in West Knoxville. She stayed optimistic about the game until the very end.

"When you grow up in Knoxville, it's part of your blood."

Last year, Summitt announced her diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Since then, she has worked as an advocate for those with Alzheimer's, and created the Pat Summit Foundation for Alzheimer's research. She has not yet announced her plans for next season.

Danny Morgan remains hopefully he'll see Coach Summitt on the court again.

"We love Pat, we just really hate that this could be it. [You] hope the best for her... we're just always leery," he said.

Aside from Coach Summitt's future, fans were determined to see the Lady Vols overcome Baylor powerhouse Brittney Griner.

"When it comes to Brittney, we knew there was going to be trouble," said Morgan.

Fans clung to hope until the very end, but Baylor would end it 77-58 to advance to the Final Four.
