The founder of the famous East Tennessee "body farm" featured in several books and on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" is set to give a lecture at Middle Tennessee State University.

Dr. William M. "Bill" Bass, founder of the University of Tennessee Forensic Anthropology Facility, as it's more formally known, will speak at MTSU's Murphy Center at 6:30 p.m. April 19.

With more than 30 years of experience in the field, Bass is considered one of the nation's foremost forensic anthropologists. The "Body Farm" he founded enables students at UT Knoxville to study the rate of decomposition of human remains in both natural and controlled environments.
