A hundred East Tennessee soldiers will be back home on Wednesday.
The Tennessee National Guard's 190th Engineer Company is made up of soldiers based in Russellville and Jefferson City. They've spent the last year in Afghanistan.
The soldiers arrived at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, on Thursday, April, 5, to begin out-processing. They are scheduled to travel to the National Guard's Volunteer Training Site in Smyrna on Wednesday, then will head out to their local armories that afternoon.
It is hoped they will arrive at their local armories by 5 pm.
More than 27,000 Tennessee Army and Air National Guardsmen have deployed since Sept. 11, 2001.
10News will have full coverage of their homecoming on Wednesday on Live at Five at 4, 10News at 5 & 6, and on WBIR.com.
