A spokesman with the Knoxville Fire Department says crews are beginning to see a "light at the end of the tunnel" as they battle a mulch fire near downtown Knoxville.
KFD is still adding foam to some areas of the 30 foot mulch piles. State Forestry and the Airport Authority are still aiding the efforts.
The Knox Co. Health Dept. has posted a map to its web site showing the track of the smoke plume from the mulch fire near Downtown Knoxville.
As of Wednesday night, the smoke was moving south and west of downtown, according to the health department.
Officials there plan to update the map a couple of times a day.
