A Tazewell and New Tazewell man were killed when their Geo GEP drove head-on into the path of a tractor-trailer hitting it head-on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the THP, the two men were driving south on US Hwy 25E in Claiborne Co. when the driver, Dennis R. Parker, 39-years-old, of Tazewell crossed the center lane into the northbound lane.
Both Parker and his passenger, 37-year-old Justin Hunt of New Tazewell, were killed. Parker was wearing a seatbelt. Hunt was not.
The driver of the tractor trailer, 47-year-old Udrenan Grazydas of Crystal Lake, Illinois, received minor injuries.
