Knox County libraries are hoping to keep kids busy over the summer by reading.
Thursday, the Burlington Branch Library held a read-up party as a way to keep kids learning, even when they're out of school.
It's also part of United Way's Day of Action, a national effort to get the community involved in teaching kids.
"We all know that we all had support along the way, and just everybody needs that. Some of us have more than others, and it's just tremendous for everybody to have that kind of support," said Angie Tierney with the Children's Reading Foundation.
