A Kingston woman who was originally charged with aggravated assault has now been charged with second degree murder in the death of her boyfriend.
Tammy Ellen Rosado appeared before a judge Monday morning.
In March, officers say they were called to a home in Kingston to investigate a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
When they arrived at the home of James Cobb, they found him sitting in a chair with a gun shot wound to the chest.
Just before he was flown to the hospital, police say Cobb said his live-in girl friend shot him.
Cobb later died of his injuries.
Rosado is expected in the Roane County jail, her bond is set at $50 thousand dollars. Her next court appearance is in November.
