Friends of two Morristown boys killed in an electrocution incident on Cherokee Lake remembered them Friday.
10-year-old Noah Winstead died Wednesday when he was shocked while swimming at the German Creek Marina. His friends, 11-year-old Nate Lynum died Thursday night from his injuries.
Friday, some of Noah's and Nate's friends and classmates released balloons in their honor before an all-star baseball game in Dandridge.
Noah played for one of the little league teams which had already been eliminated from the tournament. Some of his friends and classmates played on other teams, and they wanted to honor their friends before the game.
"The thing you should know about Noah is that he understood that the most important thing to him, the most important thing in life was his relationship with his family and with Jesus," said Phillip Lovin, a family friend.
"Nate loved Jesus as well as Noah. They were 10 and 11-year-old boys who loved life who were playing on the 4th of July celebrating the fireworks and everything else. He was a fun, creative little guy," said another family friend, Lisa Lewis.
Noah and Nate will be remembered at a joint funeral service on Sunday.
