As students across East Tennessee head back to the classroom, we're learning more about how one community is helping some families cut their school supply bills.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is collecting supplies on Friday. It's called "Fill up the Van" and is happening from noon to midnight at the Jacksboro Wal-mart.
While people are shopping, the sheriff's office hopes people will pick up a few items to donate.
"Our goal is to make sure that no kid in Campbell County goes without pencil and paper to start the school year with," said Sheriff Robbie Goins.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is hosting a "Back to School Bash" on August 4th at Caryville Elementary School to hand out the donated supplies.
