A new dog park has opened in Knoxville.
Holston River Park is just off Holston Hills Road and was funded through Petsafe's $500,000 five-year gift to Knoxville and Knox County.
The idea is to build dog parks for all communities and make sure this town stays dog friendly.
"With the dog parks that we have, the attention we give our dog parks and the importance we place on our dog parks, I think it reinforces the fact that we will always be one of the most pet-friendly cities," said Eddie Mannis, chief operating officer and deputy to the mayor of Knoxville.
Petsafe has also funded several other parks, including one in Downtown Knoxville.
