ERWIN, Tenn. (AP) -- An engineering report on a sinkhole that has closed a Unicoi County elementary school says cracks were found throughout the school building and the director of schools wants more testing done.

The Johnson City Press reports that Unicoi County Director of Schools Denise Brown discussed the report during a meeting Thursday of the county board of education.

The report found cracks ranging in size and severity inside the Love Chapel Elementary School's classrooms, along the building's exterior and walkways and in a hallway of one wing of the building.

Brown told the board that she asked for additional testing at the site, including seismic testing around the school's perimeter that started this week.

The school closed in August after the 120-foot-deep sinkhole was discovered near the building.
