Thursday night at Home Depot was all about the ladies.
The Home Depot store on Green Road in South Knoxville hosted a Ladies Night Out Workshop in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The ladies learned about breast cancer prevention and important factors to keep them healthy. They also learned fire safety tips, ways to prepare their lawns for winter, and some basic knowledge of how to fix things around the house.
"They love getting the confidence, the knowledge to do the things around the house they typically have to hire somebody in for, and they're able to tackle the problems themselves," said store manager Scott Santel.
Along with new skills, the ladies also took home freebies from the event.
This was the second year for the workshop.
