Thousands of dollars worth of equipment belonging to the Hawkins County Hazmat Team is missing.

Items like generators, flashlights, and even the team's thermal imaging camera were stolen sometime between October 22 and 23 from the county's hazmat building.

The items are worth nearly $12,000.

"Some of them were through grants and most of it was from the money we get from the county every year," said Michael Thacker.

Investigators have no suspects in the theft. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office at (423) 272-4848.
