Beloved former WBIR anchor received a special honor Saturday.
Bill Williams has been the voice of "The Pride of the Southland Marching Band" for the last decade. On Saturday Williams celebrated his last game as the Volunteers took on Troy.
During halftime, the band named him an honorary lifetime member and gave him a plaque for his 10 years of service.
Williams said the honor was a surprise that left him speechless.
"It's amazing. It's overwhelming. I can't put it into words and I'm a man of words," said Williams. "I can't tell you how much I'm moved, how much this means to me. And to honor my whole family is just amazing."
