Man who died in South Knox motorcycle accident identified

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says 60-year-old Rick Harmon died Monday evening after losing control of his motorcycle.

Deputies say Harmon was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

In South Knox County, a man is dead after he lost control of his motorcycle and ran into a yard.

The accident happened at about 5:30 Monday evening on Topside Road.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says the man was thrown from the bike and hit his head. A neighbor performed CPR until paramedics arrived. He was later pronounced dead at UT Medical Center.

The sheriff's office is not releasing the man's name until his family has been notified.
