A local group that's synonymous with mental health in East Tennessee says it will merge with another company.
On Tuesday, officials announced the Helen Ross McNabb Center plans to merge with a Chattanooga group, Fortwood, which is a prominent non-profit in that part of the state.
A spokesperson says Helen Ross McNabb Center will continue providing health services.
The merger still needs to be approved by the state.
